Golden rule so far for two years has treated me great.. I am located in Kentucky and have been accepted everywhere for my insurance and balances come back next to nothing when they reprice it.. they also send me a couple hundred dollar checks couple times a year.. dont know what for but im not complaining. The company is horrible and it's surprising that they are in business. This company is a scam or close to it. They'll make you work for the coverage you paid for by denying coverage and requesting you to make an appeal through them. You'll see how effective the appeal is when the "judge" is the company you are filing a complaint against. Just call the company as if you need assistance on your... Read more

Every time I visit the doctor they say that they never receive the claim from the doctor's office- though the office confirms that they have sent the bill to insurance. Golden Rule never asked whether I wanted to continue coverage after they announced a 25% increase for 2014. I bought other insurance, but they continued to deduct their new, higher premium from my checking account. I called this morning an waited 50 minutes to talk with a representative. I sent my premium payment (as always) in a timely manner and was surprised when I received a note saying that I was past due. I have been trying to cancel my Golden Rule Insurance. I can not do it online. Their 800-657-8205 phone number says due to high volume we can not answer your call at this time, please call again, then they hang up!!! I purchased coverage in April 2013. I was given a policy and an insurance card. In May 2013 I had to have surgery. They requested my medical records after giving me insurance and declined the billings ($80,000) due to taking blood pressure medicine.
